There's a question we've been asked more times than we can count. And it burns everytime…
"Are Rak-Su still a thing?"
It cuts deep. Not because it was unfair, but because, honestly? There were moments where we weren't sure ourselves.
The last few years have been life. Real life. The kind that doesn't ask permission.
Children arrived. Weddings were planned. Boxing. Responsibilities we didn't see coming. Life got expensive for all of us, tbf it got expensive for the whole country and you do what you have to do. We found day jobs or other ways to earn money, to stay afloat, to keep the lights on. And slowly, without meaning to, the dream started to feel like something that left us when Covid came and never returned.
There were real moments of feeling lost. Moments where dreaming felt like something we couldn't afford.
But here's what never happened… none of us ever said it was over. Because we knew. We knew we had more left in the tank.
We'd never even released an album. We wanted to tour again . And you'd been asking for years "When are Rak-Su going on tour again? When's the album? Are you still making music?" Finally we have an answer to those questions.
So we made a decision. The Watford show would be the test.
If it didn't sell. If people had moved on. That would be our answer, and we'd have walked away with our heads held high knowing we'd given it everything we had.
You didn't let that happen.
You showed up. And you didn't just show up you showed up and reminded us who we are. That night, something shifted. We stopped asking the question.
Rak-Su is back. Properly back.
Next year, we're going on tour 8 to 12 cities. Not just London. We heard you. We're coming to you, closer to home, so you don't have to travel for hours just to see us.
And we're finally making the album. The one we've been promising. The one you've been waiting for. We are 100% certain that with you behind us, we're going to get it somewhere special.
This is the return. And this time, we're not stopping.
Your boys
Rak-Su
